Terry Nooner
Owner, PADI Master Instructor
Dr. Nooner became certified as a Scuba Instructor in the PADI system after attending the PADI College in San Diego, California in 1983. He went on to earn his Master Scuba Instructor credentials and has certified many students since. Terry loves the open ocean and sailboats. He never misses a good chance to get sea sick and he has many stories to tell. Come on into the dive center and sit for a spell and he will bring you up to date on the latest scuba diving has to offer.
Charlie Donkers
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer & Service Technician
Charlie started diving at 13 years old with his parents. He spent a semester at sea in the Caribbean after high school, then continued his diving in Florida to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
Charlie even proposed to his wife Erin underwater! Charlie had it all planned out, everything is magnified 25 percent underwater and you should have seen that diamond ring.
Charlie heads up our PADI training programs and service department.
Clarence Burt
Divemaster & Retail Sales Specialist
Now Clarence, a PADI Divemaster, is a scuba diver that knows the importance of good equipment. Be sure to stop by the dive store and discuss what gear you are interested in. He has incredible knowledge on most of our brands and will be happy to help you out. Watch for him at the store as well at many of our fun dives too!
Claire "Mermaid Echo"
PADI Mermaid Instructor
Claire grew up less than 5 miles from the St. Croix River and developed a keen passion for all things water. She's an avid sailor, and loves to pass nautical traditions onto the next generation! In 2016 Claire launched her small business, Mermaid Echo Entertainment LLC, which she uses to teach kids about aquatic conservation and stewardship. She is the co-founder of Mermaid Scholar School, Miss Mermaid Wisconsin 2021, an Ocean Ambassador with Mermaid At Any Age, and the author of a children's book. Her passion for teaching and connecting with youth brought her to St. Croix Scuba where she earned her Open Water Diver certification and became the first PADI Mermaid Instructor in the midwest.
Haile Casson
Sales
Haile is an avid cold water diver and certified PADI Rescue Diver. You can find Haile on the sales floor consulting with new students and showing off the latest in scuba gear.
Mike Casson
Divemaster
Mike never lets the cold or low visibility get in the way of enjoying a dive. When he's not teaching new students, you can find him running his own search & recovery business. Mike never passes up an opportunity to go looking for underwater treasures!
Jerry Garlock
Divemaster, Tripleader, and Sales
Jerry, a PADI Divemaster, is a vital asset to our staff. You will find Jerry at most FUN dives helping new students and organizing the underwater experiences. He is always available to share his valuable experience for just the asking. He can also be found on the sales floor at the dive shop from time to time.
Steve Berres
PADI Instructor & Technical Diver
Steve was bitten by the diving bug during a Florida vacation and has never gotten over it. Eager to spend time underwater nearly anywhere he is keenly interested in the challenges and opportunities associated with technical diving and looks forward to continually broadening his underwater horizons.

Beth Meyers
PADI Instructor
Beth Meyers took her first scuba training in the 50 degree waters of the Puget Sound. She spent 20 years slowly increasing her dive count, one vacation at a time, until she finally went pro in 2023. Beth's experience as a camp counselor, nurse, ski patroller, sales professional, and professor has prepared her well to share her passion for water sports with others.
Beth also offers private and destination scuba training as well as eFoil lessons through her company Zen Watersports. In the winter, you'll find Beth on the slopes of Afton Alps, off on a Caribbean adventure, or in Florida helping her sister, Barbara Draves, give lessons at Flying Mermaid Adventures in Sarasota and the Keys.
You'll see Beth sporting WaterLust swimming suits, shirts and pants to protect her from the sun. WaterLust is a B-Corp clothing brand, with a mission to educate, inspire, and support you in living an environmentally sustainable life.
Scott Doerr
PADI Instructor
Scott is a lifelong enthusiast of the water, first learning to snorkel in the waters around
Stillwater, MN. He became a PADI Instructor in 2019 because as he puts it, “I love
to teach others how to safely enjoy this amazing sport that I love so much." His diving
experience extends beyond that of the classroom, pool and open water having worked
for many years with adaptive scuba diving groups and disable veteran programs.
Scott has been fortunate to travel the world in his scuba adventures and has lots of
great tips and trip planning experience for divers of all levels.
When not diving in the waters of Minnesota and Wisconsin you’ll find Scott enjoying the warm waters somewhere in Caribbean, his favorite spot being Cozumel where he has served as a
part-time dive master and Instructor as well.
Scott is excited to bring his experience and passion for diving to St. Croix Scuba!
Glen Hartman
PADI Public Safety Diving Instructor
Glen first started diving as a public safety diver. He started the St. Croix EMS & Rescue Dive Team in Hudson, WI. Over the years, his family, especially his wife Debra, has caught the diving bug too.

Ken is our local Spearfishing Instructor and author of the famous guide to freshwater spearfishing. He loves finding hidden treasures at the bottom of our Wisconsin lakes and rivers.
Judy Peacock

"Lady Judith" has been a staple of St. Croix Scuba for over 20 years. Although her recent passing saddens us, she will always be remembered fondly for her tenacity and unending love for the ocean.
